Liturgy of St Mark of Alexandria
The Liturgy of St. Mark is the ancient, original Divine Liturgy of the Orthodox Church of Alexandria, attributed to St. Mark the Apostle. It is the most ancient Orthodox liturgical text in existence and is central to the worship of the Coptic Orthodox Church, which has adapted it over the centuries. The liturgy reflects the theology and culture of Alexandria, with prayers for the community and invocations of the Holy Spirit. And later St Cyril of Alexandria translated it from Greek to Coptic.
