Matthew Aramaic

The Good News of Jesus as the long-awaited Jewish Messiah and the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies, emphasizing his role as the new Moses and the inaugurator of the Kingdom of God. It serves as a theological proof for Jewish Christians in Palestine that Jesus is the promised Christ, with a particular focus on his royal and levitical lineage and his fulfillment of the Law (Torah) through his teachings, especially in the Sermon on the Mount. The Gospel is also considered a "Torah for the Church," containing a detailed record of Jesus's words and deeds that guides the newly formed Ekklesia (Church).
