Obadiah
Judgment on Edom (Jordan):
God condemns the nation of Edom, who were descendants of Esau, Jacob's brother, for their betrayal of Israel.
Edom's sins: Edom's sins included pride in their high mountain dwellings, gloating over the suffering of Judah, and participating in the looting and capture of Jerusalem's refugees during the Babylonian conquest.
Divine retribution:
God declares that Edom will be brought down and destroyed in retaliation for their actions against Israel. Universal judgment: The prophecy broadens to include all prideful nations, stating that they will face God's justice on the "day of the LORD".
Restoration of Israel:
The book ends with a promise that the kingdom will be restored to God's people, with "saviors" coming to Mount Zion to judge the mountains of Esau (Edom) and establish God's kingdom.
