Amos
The book of Amos is a prophetic book about God's judgment against the nation of Israel for its social injustice and religious hypocrisy. It contains a series of oracles, poems, and visions delivered by the prophet Amos, a shepherd from Judah, who condemned the wealthy for oppressing the poor and chastised the people for empty religious rituals that ignored the needs of others. Ultimately, the book is a call for true worship to be demonstrated through acts of justice and righteousness, and it ends with a promise of future restoration.
