Postdiluvian Era Gen ch10

The Book of Genesis is the foundational text, stating the ark rested "upon the mountains of Ararat". These mountains hold profound significance as the site where humanity was repopulated after the Great Flood, an event affirmed by Jesus Christ in the New Testament. Today there is the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin (also called Vagharshapat) in Armenia, the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church, with ruins of the 7th-century Zvartnots Cathedral nearby, both offering stunning views of the iconic mountain. Another significant site is Khor Virap Monastery, a major pilgrimage spot right on the Ararat plain, known for its dramatic view of Ararat.
