Josephian Era Gen ch39

Genesis chapter 39 tells the story of Joseph in Egypt, where he is sold to Potiphar, an officer of the Pharaoh, and rises to become the overseer of Potiphar's household because the Lord blessed his work. When Potiphar's wife attempts to seduce Joseph, he refuses and flees, leaving his cloak. She then falsely accuses him of sexual assault, leading to his unjust imprisonment. Even in prison, God remains with Joseph, giving him favor and placing him in charge of the other prisoners.
