Maccabean Revolt & Prophetic Literature

Some sages and priests and monks and rabbis engage in continual debates over which location or person or object (mountain, altar, shrine, or scroll) has authority over other hierarchical structures. There is an initiative to delineate between political values and religious values. See note 37 or section 4.4 in link below. Many writings are centralized or produced around Jerusalem and then at least three traditions are exported from Jerusalem to Alexandria, Babylon, and Tarsus.
